Frequently Asked Questions

  • The mat I want is out of stock, will it come back?

    • Maybe yes or maybe no. All our items are limited runs. We're always looking to keep things fresh and exciting! If an item gets enough "notify me when available" requests, we will consider restocking it.​

  • Do your mats come rolled?

    • Yes! They come rolled, tied with ribbon, wrapped in plastic and in their canvas bag with a mini picture of the mat on it. Super handy for a quick grab and go!

  • Do your mats have a strong odor to them?

    • No! Our mats do not come with a strong odor, or any odor that you can smell. Unless you stick your nose directly to it, you will not notice a smell.​

  • How thick are your mats?

    • 3mm thick​

  • How big are your  mats?

    • 33inx33in​

  • Why hasn't my order shipped!?!

    • Its probably a preorder. If it was a ready to ship item, but combined with a preorder, the order will not be fulfilled until all items have arrived to Bama Mahj. Can't ship it if I don't have it here. So look at your order confirmation and it will show you if you have a preorder holding it up or not. ​

  • What shipping service do you use?

    • UPS! Unless it is a PO box, then USPS​

  • Your return policy is all sales final...why?

    • We're a small business, more specifically a one woman show. We stand behind all our products and their quality. We don't have the space for any more inventory to come in. All our funds are going into new products and I don't have the brain power to hunt down random boxes from a return and search through emails and addresses to see who I would have to credit for the return. Logistically we just can't right now.  Maybe one day when we expand into a workforce. ​

  • Why do you do preorders?

    • Again, we're a small business, so running a preorder helps me quickly decide if we need to pivot our order with the manufacturer. Some items are hits, and some are busts, I can tell within 48 hours if I need to email the manufacturer and say change this to less mats and add more of this item instead. We only run preorders after our manufacturer order is placed and we have an estimated ship date. Also it helps to know that when inventory is brought in, its immediately going back out and I can have my dining room back.​

  • How long do preorders stay open?

    • I shut off preorders when the order number starts getting too close to the order that is being produced or on the ship in transit.​

  • Do you have an affliate program. 

    • Thats a touchy subject for some...but yes! We have a "modified" affiliate program. We don't do paid affiliates. So if someone has an affiliate code, know that they are sharing our products just because they are amazing and not because they benefit from it. And we love every one of those instructors/content creators/page admins/event planners/ect. They're all amazing and understanding and make the mahjong world go round!​
